800 delegates are expected to visit our congress centre in Florence to participate in the 13th European Catalysis Congress (EUROPACAT 2017), to be held from 27th to 31st August 2017. It is the most important European event – and one of the main ones globally – on catalysis, a branch of chemistry studying the synthesis, characterization, design and development of molecules which can act as catalysts to improve and carry out various reactions.
This event, called “Un ponte per il futuro“ (A Bridge for the Future), will represent the crucial role of science and of catalysis technology to allow a sustainable future. The congress will serve as a platform to exchange new ideas and discuss advances in all the catalysis sectors. This event will be characterized by electronic features, thanks to a specific APP featuring programmes, latest news and updates, a map of the congress and an abstract of lessons.

The congress is organized by ERIC A.I.S.B.L. (European Research Institute of Catalysis) and by the Italian Catalysis Group of SCI (Italian Chemical Society), in co-operation with the Chemical-Industrial Division of SCI and the Consorzio Universitario sulla Scienza e la Tecnologia dei Materiali (INSTM- The National Interuniversity Consortium of Materials Science & Technology).
