Spotlight on PITTI BIMBO, to be held at the Fortezza da Basso from the 28th to the 30th June 2012. This is the most important international fashion event for children and teenager, offering a complete overview on childrenswear. It is also an important observatory on all the young lifestyle trends, an intriguing result of the various connections between fashion, food, arts & design.

The event focuses on all the possible options, ranging from the classical-elegant of the most famous brands up to sportswear with Sport Generation, and from the creativity of research brands such as New View and EcoEthic to the urban couture of Super Street, ending with the most important collections of the past edition. Buyers coming from abroad are increasing, with excellent performances from Russia, Great Britain, Turkey, Brasil, Chile, Portugal, Canada, USA and Japan. Among the many initiatives in store at the Spadolini Pavilion, EcoEthic is the area devoted to green themes, with a selection of the best brands making sustainable fashion their distinctive mark, such as Smafolk, Veja, Kidiwi, Kite, Stregatoccacolore, Naturapura, Frila Swissmade, Io Bio. New and known names feature Thea, Coqenpȃte and Ever T. Frank Baby. Among the new entries and returns for this edition, Cruciani, Jottum, Stillini, Unlimited, Gaudì, New Generals, Fiat 500, Ducati, Fiorucci, 813 and Come nelle Favole. And among the special projects, the preview of “MyoTronic” by Foppapedretti, the innovative electrical stroller with an engine – with an aluminum chassis and a high-tech design – which won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award.
