Spotlight on the Summer 2013 beachwear trends on show at the Fortezza da Basso from the 14th to the 16th July 2012. MARE D‘AMARE 2012 is the International fair dedicated to beachwear, an annual not-to-miss event presenting the latest collections of around 300 Italian and European brands. The style of the beachwear collections for 2013 will be based on four main themes. Cruise Line is inspired by the 1930s motifs, with colours and designs – dots, stripes, naive elements - reminiscent of sailor suits, while Pop Deco, inspired by the lively city of Miami, combines rarefied and artificial atmospheres and 1950s echoes, with sporty and colourfully printed swimsuits, inspired by exotic fruits and flowers. Another prevailing theme is the dream, a leitmotiv for Mirage, where prints playfully interact with ethnic-inspired micro-geometric figures.
