PITTI UOMO no. 96 – a global reference event for menswear and contemporary lifestyle- is set to take place at the Fortezza da Basso from 11th to 14th June 2019. The event features 1,220 brands – 549 of which coming from abroad and 230 including new names and returns, over a total exhibiting surface of 60,000 square metres. Every edition of Pitti Uomo expresses the latest contemporary fashion inputs with unique style and projects, highlighting projects combining outdoor and fashion attitude, presenting the new souls of the “athleisure” wardrobe and revealing the savoir-faire of contemporary artisans. The Fair will also show the excellence of the new classic style, next to the most updated sportswear brands, new generations of talents from Northern Europe and new designers from the Far East fashion scene, up to luxury streetstyle and the most cutting-edge styles. All this wrapped up in the unique atmosphere of Pitti Experience.
Pitti Special Click will be the theme of the summer fairs by Pitti Immagine 2019, summarising the special energy pervading the Fortezza, which suddenly finds its direction, and transforming once again the Central Square of the Fortezza thanks to a set-up curated by life-styler Sergio Colantuoni.
Many special guests will honour this edition – Clare Waight Keller, British fashion designer, as well as art director of Givenchy, the Salvatore Ferragamo brand, which chose Pitti Uomo to stage its new SS2020 menswear collection through the Florence Calling event, and the famous and versatile American artist Sterling Ruby, presenting the first collection of his brand S.R. STUDIO .LA.CA.
