Pitti Filati: at Fortezza da Basso from January 21 to 23, yarn trends for Spring/Summer 2027

Florence, January 19, 2026. Riding the wave of the success of Pitti Immagine Uomo, Fortezza da Basso is preparing to host another important event for the fashion system: Pitti Filati, which will take place from January 21 to 23.

The fair will showcase yarn trends for Spring/Summer 2027, with the participation of 103 companies, including the most important Italian and international spinning mills.

The creative heart of this edition will once again be the new Spazio Ricerca, which this year revolves around the theme “Link”, curated by Angelo Figus together with Carrie Hollands and Manuela Sandroni. It is a journey inspired by the history of signs and ink, from its primordial origins to contemporary interpretations, understood as forms of connection between cultures, eras, and visual languages.

At the same time, Vintage Selection 45 returns to the Ghiaia pavilion, a fair dedicated to vintage clothing and accessories. This year’s theme, “LINKing to the future”, is inspired by the concept of Spazio Ricerca and will be reflected in the exhibition’s displays, creating a dialogue between past and future.
