The Excellence of Pitti Filati at Fortezza da Basso from July 1–3
Florence, June 27th, 2025. Pitti Immagine Filati, the international trade fair dedicated to the world of yarns and knitwear, returns to Fortezza da Basso from July 1 to 3, with a total of 130 companies participating in this 97th edition.
On display will be all the yarn trends for the Autumn/Winter 2026–27 season. Alongside the offerings from the special sections Knitclub, CustomEasy and Institutional Area, emerging trends will be showcased in the new Spazio Ricerca. Titled D-TALE, this new space is curated by Angelo Figus, Carrie Hollands and Manuela Sandroni: a journey through the paths of fashion history, presented via 72 mannequins created in collaboration with the yarn manufacturers participating in the fair. Also returning is Vintage Selection, a research lab dedicated to vintage culture.
The theme of this year’s summer shows (Pitti Bikes) is interpreted at Pitti Filati no. 97 as WHEEL OF YARNS, a concept expressed through the venue installations curated by Alessandro Moradei and the advertising campaign shot by Michele de Andreis, where a bicycle wheel lights up with a pattern made of LED threads.
