56th SIDO International Congress From November 20 to 22, 2025, the 56th SIDO International Congress will take place at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence. The theme of this edition is highly relevant and clinically significant: "Personalized And Patient-Centered Orthodontics For Effective, Efficient, And Safe Patient Care".
The congress will open on Thursday, November 20 with pre-congress courses: two thematic sessions led by renowned speakers (Dr. Carrière,Dr. Cantor, Dr. Wilmes) and two practical hands-on courses aimed especially at young professionals—one in collaboration with SIBOS and one focused on in-house aligners. The day will end with the Opening Ceremony and a Welcome Aperitif in the Exhibition Area.
Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22 will feature two main lecture halls:
- The first, on Friday and Saturday, will focus on personalized orthodontics, emphasizing individual patient characteristics and active involvement in treatment decisions, with attention to clinical, aesthetic, functional, and economic aspects.
- The second hall, only on Friday, will host a clinical-scientific discussion on aligner treatment based on the results of an International Delphi Study (Consensus Conference), offering practical, evidence-based guidance for clinicians and speakers.
Saturday morning will also feature the SIDO-SIdP multidisciplinary course on the treatment of gummy smiles, presenting orthodontic, periodontal, and surgical approaches.
The event will also offer opportunities for interaction through the SIDO Events app, activities for young professionals, and networking moments such as the President’s Reception and the SIDO Party.
