Florence, February 20th, 2025. From February 21st to 23rd, Fortezza da Basso will host Danzainfiera, the world’s largest international event dedicated to the dance community, organized by Pitti Immagine. The fair (19th edition) has become a key event for dancers, dance schools, companies and industry professionals, as well as for young talents aspiring to realize their dream of becoming professional dancers.

As the current theme “Dance Beyond suggests, the art of dance represents a statement of independence from stereotypes, creating a space for freedom of expression and the opportunity to be oneself without limitations. It is a call to look beyond individual differences, much like in a choreography where beauty is appreciated in its entirety.

The fair is above all a meeting point for all dance styles, where exhibition spaces dedicated to industry companies and associations coexist with classrooms and stages offering a rich program of events. The three-day event will feature dance lessons, workshops and auditions, with a total of 270 events involving approximately 7,500 dancers, including various renowned Italian and international étoiles.

The numbers of this edition are very promising: 16,387 spots available in classrooms for lessons, workshops and stage sessions, 80 major brands from the fashion industry, 60 schools of dance and performing arts, with a total of 150 exhibitors, 47 of which come from abroad.

“Danzainfiera 2025 grows in both quality and quantity,” said Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine. “It is once again approaching the numbers and richness of the program that characterized the pre-Covid editions. This event is especially meaningful for us at Pitti: our commitment to future generations drives us to invest in precious opportunities for high-level training and visibility in the fields of dance and choreography for many young dancers. This year, we are proud to highlight the Calimala competition for young choreographers working with contemporary music, while our focus remains on offering a comprehensive, specialized, international commercial platform. The result is a true dance festival, enriched once again by a beautiful edition of the Gala.”
