Florence, 10th February 2024. The three fair days of Firenze Home Texstyle e Immagine Italia & Co. started this morning at the Fortezza da Basso. Open until Monday, 12th February 2024 and taking place on the lower floor of the Spadolini Pavilion, the Fairs will show the new trends of home, marine, SPA, hotel & contract textiles and fragrances, next to the new Fall/Winter 2024-2025 collections for lingerie and underwear.

The opening ceremony saw the presence of Firenze Fiera’s President Lorenzo Becattini, joined by Eugenio Giani, President of the Region of Tuscany, Enrico Conti, President of the Committee on Economic Development for the Florence Municipality, and Marina Scognamiglio representing the ICE Agency (Italian Trade Agency), along with the organisers of the two Fairs, and numerous buyers and operators coming from all over Italy and from various world countries.

“Once again, it is particularly important to combine these manufacturing sectors – home textiles and lingerie – within these two Fairs to enhance the quality of living the intimacy and the comfort of our homes”, said Eugenio Giani, President of the Region of Tuscany. “The Region of Tuscany supports Firenze Fiera in this phase of development of the Florence congress and exhibition centre – a reality that is growing and boasting unique features in Italy, as well as being enhanced every year with new prestigious events and activities”.

“Firenze Fiera proves to be a crucial asset to introduce the excellence of the various manufacturing industries of our territory to the whole world, such as the home and underwear sectors, representing two very important fields of Tuscan entrepreneurship”, commented Enrico Conti.

Activities will continue tomorrow (Sunday) inside the FABRIC SOUND space featuring presentations and conferences on various textile-inspired topics, between heritage and contemporaneity. Focus will be on sustainability and recycling. A conference called “Textile 57: New Horizons of Inclusion and Sustainability” will take place at 10:00, while the meeting “Circular Economy: From Textile Waste to a New Generation of Materials for Home Textile” will start at 10:30. Both events will be curated by the Architecture Department – DIDA Design Campus – of the University of Florence.

In the afternoon, at 14:30, Simone Guidarelli, histrionic fashion stylist and creator of some of the most famous covers signed by Condé Nast, will take the stage with “Simone Guidarelli Wall Design: The Historic Archives of Fondazione FFRI for Interior Design”.
