Are You Ready for Pitti Uomo 104? – Fortezza da Basso, June 13-16, 2023

Exhibitions

Florence, 6th June 2023 – “Pitti Games” is the theme chosen for the next Summer Edition of Pitti Uomo, bringing no less than 825 brands inside the Fortezza da Basso from 13th to 16th June, 41% of which coming from abroad. Four days to discover the fashion trends of the Spring-Summer 2024 season – the path of this edition definitely appears more expanded and dynamic, offering new solutions and new exhibiting formulas.

“Pitti Games is a theme that fits perfectly with the optimistic climate permeating the opening atmosphere of the next editions”, says Agostino Poletto, General Director of Pitti Immagine. “That is why, we dared to imagine the Pitti exhibitions as a big game board on which you can have fun, but also bet everything for everything, challenge yourself and your own strategy, consider your opponent and your partners, leave your comfort zones, take some risks, be an individualist, or play a team game. Reflecting, changing the game – maybe even bluffing? – mixing, blending, and putting down the cards. Games offer us many inputs, both in our life and work”.

“I imagined that the next editions could appear as an invitation for the Pitti community to play its part. I thought of it as a sort of inclusive operation, that could talk about different strategies and modalities – from cards to checkers, being turned into graphic signs”, explained Angelo Figus, Creative Director. “Obviously, there is a constant reference to the textile world, with checks, zig-zag motifs, and vertical lines taken apart and recomposed within the scenario of the Fair.

This edition will be under the aegis of guest designer Eli Russell Linnetz, founder and soul of the ERL label, who will turn the central square of the Fortezza da Basso into a film set, specifically mentioning a famous Hollywood cult.

There will be five sections – Fantastic Classic, Futuro Maschile, Dynamic Attitude, Superstyling, and I Go Out – to present the Spring/Summer 2024 collections. Proposals will be classic, informal, and passing through the world of research, that will be enhanced inside the Sala delle Nazioni and inside the Arsenale. Focus will not only be on menswear, but also on lifestyle and on all the most exclusive outdoor products, from beachwear to camping and walking accessories.

After the success of the last edition, Pitti Pets – an exclusive space dedicated to accessories and lifestyle for all pets – was also reconfirmed. This special area, designed by architect and designer Ilaria Marelli, will be set up inside the Polveriera and will star a selection of brands with their creations dedicated to clothing, accessories, animal care products, objects, and home furniture.

The special guest of Pitti Uomo 104 will be Fendi. On 15th June, the Maison will present its menswear collection for Spring/Summer 2024, with a special fashion show taking place inside the charming and recently opened Fendi Factory, the excellence hub of the Maison located in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, in Capannuccia (Bagno a Ripoli).

“People are excited to meet again in Florence. In a year that was not considered easy for our sector, our event was chosen and honoured as an unmissable stage to become known and meet your international clients”, commented Raffaello Napoleone, CEO at Pitti Immagine.
