Florence, March 14th, 2025. Despite the early closing of the fair by one hour and the bad weather that affected Florence and Tuscany, Didacta Italia 2025 confirmed excellent results, with nearly 20,000 visitors and a 15% increase in digital community followers.
“We are closing this 11th edition of DIDACTA ITALIA with great satisfaction for the high turnout over the past three days,” said Lorenzo Becattini, President of Firenze Fiera. “The positive energy and active participation felt at the various stands and in the training rooms between teachers, school principals, exhibitors and all professionals in the field demonstrate the success of the DIDACTA format, encouraging us to continue on this path. We are already preparing for the upcoming spin-off event, which will take place in October in Riva del Garda and for next year’s national edition, which will be held as usual here at the Fortezza, from March 11th to 13th, 2026.”
The final day of the fair also served as the official launch of Didacta Italia – Trentino Edition, which will take place from October 22nd to 24th in Riva del Garda. The presentation was attended by Tamara Ermini, Vice President of Firenze Fiera, alongside Francesca Gerosa, Vice President and Assessor for Education, Culture, Sports, Family, Youth and Equal Opportunities Policies of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Francesco Manfredi, President of INDIRE, Angelo Paletta, President of IPRASE, Giuseppe Pierro, Director General for Communication and Institutional Relations at the Ministry of Education and Merit and Reinhard Koslitz, representing Didacta International.
“From the start of this legislative term,” said Francesca Gerosa, Vice President and Assessor for Education, Culture and Sports, Family, Youth and Equal Opportunities Policies of the Autonomous Province of Trento, “my goal has been to put schools at the heart of our province’s policies, because it is in schools that the citizens of tomorrow grow. We owe this to our students and to our society as a whole and we have great responsibility for this purpose. We may be a small territory, but we have many professional skills to offer to the school system. Our experiments attract interest from all over Italy. I think about the role of the ‘faber’, the teacher who facilitates well-being in schools and what we are trying to do to make schools a place where both teachers and students can thrive”.
“With great pleasure, INDIRE confirms its central role as a scientific partner for Didacta in Riva del Garda,” said Francesco Manfredi, President of INDIRE. “Our focus on this region, its innovative realities and schools is strong, and we aim to foster new collaborations. In this direction, the Institute has already moved forward by signing a memorandum of understanding with the Bruno Kessler Foundation and the Hub Innovazione Trentino Foundation, two organizations highly specialized in artificial intelligence research, both based in Trento”.
“As IPRASE, it is an honor to participate in the organization of Didacta, a format that aligns with our core values of research, experimentation and innovation. Our goal is to maintain our tradition while innovating both approaches and content. Schools are an outstanding source of innovation and innovating teachers systematically address students’ needs and contexts and improve established methods. IPRASE works to turn experimentation into an organizational asset that fosters knowledge transfer to other contexts,” commented Angelo Paletta, President of the Technical-Scientific Committee of the Provincial Institute for Educational Research and Experimentation of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
“A fair focused on education is successful when it brings together, like a mosaic, all the professionals from the education world. This is why – added Reinhard Koslitz from Didacta International – Didacta Italia continues to grow, edition after edition, and we want to bring it to Riva del Garda, which has an exhibition district in a beautiful location, close to the lake. I am sure the October edition will be a great adventure and I will be happy to participate”.
