Everything Is Ready for Didacta Italia – Trentino Edition, to Be Held in Riva del Garda from 22nd to 24th October 2025.

Florence/Trento 16th October 2025. With over 1,000 events and 287 exhibitors, Didacta Italia – Trentino Edition, the most important event on education and innovation in schools, opens on Wednesday, 22nd October 2025 at the Riva del Garda Exhibition Centre. Having now reached its 12th edition, for the first time, this event involves all the regions of northern Italy, with Trentino at its centre as a reference point and catalyst for the new coordinates of the school of the future.

Featuring 160 events, created by INDIRE and IPRASE, and coordinated by Professor Giovanni Biondi, the scientific programme will once again be packed with new offerings for teachers of all levels, from pre-school to ITS (Higher Technical Institutes), and will focus particularly on topics typical of Alpine and inland regions, such as small schools and multilingualism.

Within this context, an important international conference entitled “Playing their part: Small and rural schools – Smart schooling and Networking” will take place on 24th October, at 10:00, inside the Main Hall.

Various contributions will be made, including one from Alessandro Rosina of the Catholic University of Milan, and other ones from Italian experts and researchers and from other countries such as Canada, Spain, England, and Finland.

Among the many events scheduled for the opening day, a highlight at 11.00 inside the INDIRE space will be a talk promoted by the motivational social campaign #NonCiFermaNessuno (No One Is Going to Stop Us), hosted by Luca Abete – known to the general public for his long experience as a correspondent for Italian satirical news broadcast ‘Striscia la notizia’ – in open dialogue with young university students. The event is part of a broader experimental communications project called #NonCiFermaNessuno, launched in 2014 with the aim of concretely addressing the issue of youth loneliness through open and honest dialogue with the younger generations and the sharing of their experiences.

Another important event will be the seminar (24th October, at 12.00), in co-operation with the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit, on “What Educational and Organisational Models for the ‘4+2’?” The reform promoted by Minister Valditara, which establishes the technical and vocational training chain, allows students to enter the workforce more quickly and with quality employment, orienting them more consistently to their talents and aspirations.

The Autonomous Province of Trento will be present at Didacta with its own booth – the Speaker’s Corner will host over 20 events presented by Trentino school networks. The scientific programme also includes around fifteen workshops and seminars offered by the provincial education system, and the Main Hall of the Exhibition Centre will host events dedicated to the provincial legislative strategy (22nd October) and those reserved for school managers (Thursday, 23rd October).

DIDACTA ITALIA – Trentino Edition is organised by Firenze Fiera in co-operation with the Department of Education of the Autonomous Province of Trento, and relies on an organising committee that includes  – alongside Firenze Fiera and the Autonomous Province of Trento – the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit, Didacta International, the Department of Education and Culture of the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Italian, German, and Ladin Education and Training Directorates of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, and the regional school offices of Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and Liguria. Scientific partners: INDIRE and IPRASE.
