Firenze Home Texstyle 2024 Presents Fabric Sound – A New Live Space to “Give Voice to Fabrics”

This area will host talks, workshops, conferences, training moments, and meetings with the protagonists of home décor and of the international textile entrepreneurship related to the textile sector
Florence, 22nd January 2024. On schedule at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence from 10th to 12th February 2024, FIRENZE HOME TEXSTYLE – the only international Italian Fair dedicated to home, marine, SPA, hotel & contract textiles and fragrances – has now reached its sixth edition. Once again, it is ready to surprise its visitors and buyers by launching FABRIC SOUND, a new exclusive space dedicated to textiles and their multiple declinations.
For three days, FABRIC SOUND will be the stage for interesting talks, conferences, workshops, and meetings with prominent figures from the sectors of home décor, lifestyle, and international textile entrepreneurship. The main objective is to offer new update and training opportunities within a creative space, where innovative ideas can inspire the future of textiles. This concept was ideated to give “voice to fabrics” by furtherly enriching the exhibiting area of the Fair. Focusing on contract, sustainability, and on the various contemporary processes in the ‘fashion’ and ‘interior design’ sections, this area aims to be a centre of attraction for a sector that is constantly growing and changing.
The fair will begin on Saturday, 10th February, at 12:00 with the conference “We Now Have an Upholstery School”, organized by CITA (National Consociation of Upholsterers and Interior Decorators). The day will continue with the conference “Total Contract, Total Texture – Weaves and Textures as Design Elements in Luxury Hotels and Real Estates”, taking place at 14:30. Architect Klingenberg from Lugano will present the charming hotel industry world in Iran. This event will be followed – at 16.30 – by a speech given by Architect Simone Micheli on the theme “Textile Design in Hospitality: The Role of the Architect”, during which the importance of converting objective needs into functional solutions will be discussed.
Do not miss the event “Textile 57: New Horizons of Inclusion and Sustainability”, taking place on 11th February at 10:00, and focusing on the development of textile products created with special attention to recycling and sustainability.
“Circular Economy: From Textile Waste to a New Generation of Materials for Home Texstyle” will be organised by the Architecture Department (DIDA Campus) of the University of Florence, on schedule on Sunday 11th at 10:30. This event will be followed – at 11:30 – by the conference “Textiles and Fragrances” curated by Michela Finaurini, exploring the charming universe of the close relationship between texture and olfactory taste.
Do not miss the meeting with Simone Guidarelli, histrionic fashion stylist and creator of some of the most famous covers signed by Condé Nast, always taking place on 11th February at 14:30.
During the three days of the Fair, it will be possible to enjoy the screening of iconic creations that made the history of global textile design. Entrusted to the creative flair and the artistic skills of Carlo Amadori, versatile creator of ‘Abitare il tempo’ (Live the Time) – the most important exhibition on furnishing solutions and home décor – this initiative will tell the story of textiles by some of the most important brands on a global scale that participated in the fair from 2000 to 2006.
Firenze Home Texstyle no.6, organised by Acropoli Srl from Bologna and aimed at all the key players of the world of living and hotels, will take place in conjunction with Immagine Italia & Co. no.17, the international fair dedicated to underwear, home wear, lingerie and loungewear, offering innovative solutions in step with the times to get the best of our domestic habitat.
