TourismA 2026: archaeology returns to the Palazzo dei Congressi from February 27 to March 1

Florence, February 23, 2026 . The press conference presenting the twelfth edition of TourismA – the Archaeology and Cultural Tourism Exhibition – was held today. The annual event is dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of historical and archaeological heritage.
Organized by Archeologia Viva (Giunti Editore) in collaboration with Firenze Fiera, the event will take place from February 27 to March 1 at the Palazzo dei Congressi, transforming the city into an international hub for scholars, tourism professionals, and enthusiasts of the ancient world.
Three days of free admission dedicated to the discovery and promotion of historical, archaeological, and monumental heritage, featuring exhibition stands, archaeological-themed tastings, screenings, exhibitions, educational workshops, virtual reality experiences, round tables, and book presentations.
Considered one of the most important events in Europe in the field of cultural promotion and outreach, TourismA will bring together hundreds of visitors – tourism professionals, institutions, and enthusiasts of the ancient world – involved in conferences and discussions on strategies for enhancing archaeological heritage.
Among the most anticipated guests are Luciano Canfora, Mario Tozzi, Cristoforo Gorno, Franco Cardini, and Alberto Angela, patron of the event.
The program also includes a meeting dedicated to dialogue between archaeologists and wine producers, with the presentation of farms and wineries that have developed a connection between their production and archaeological sites.
TourismA will also host the third edition of the GIST ACTA – Archaeological & Cultural Tourism Award, promoted by the Italian Group of Tourism Press, presented to those who stand out in the protection, promotion, accessibility, and communication of cultural heritage.
