Green and Sustainability at the Heart of the New Textile Trends – On Show at Firenze Home Texstyle until Tomorrow

Florence, 3rd April 2022. Tomorrow (Monday, 4th April) is the last day to visit Firenze Home Texstyle at the Fortezza da Basso and to ‘capture’ new home décor trends in the sector of home, marine, SPA, contract & hotel textiles, and fragrances.
A kaleidoscope of innovative ideas and proposals for your own domestic habitat also embracing outdoor living and the luxury segment. The motto? Giving the utmost attention to environment, while offering many solutions marked by green choices and eco-sustainability. Such as the 100% green packaging made with sugarcane waste by ESSENTIA from Gessate (Milano), presenting a new line of perfumed essences with natural essential oils at the Fair for a superior olfactive experience, or the wide offer of recycled fabrics from GRUPPO CARILLO, a textile company constantly evolving and focusing on a rich and structured collection of fabrics made with eco-sustainable fibres, some of which with 87% of recycled plastic bottles.
Created by Roman company Sevitex, the FLOAT COLLECTION also focuses on respecting the eco-system in which we live with its line of textile sets, using the best raw materials such as Giza cotton (an Egyptian quality grown in a small area in the Nile delta) and Thindown, the first down fabric in the world – patented and produced in Italy – offering up to 170% more heat than traditional down. Soft and warm kimonos are also sewn with this fabric.
PAPPELINA carpets arrive at the Fortezza directly from Sweden, handcrafted by a textile manufacturer in Leksand, Dalarna, combining functionality and a durable, contemporary and coloured design.
The elegance, preciousness, and originality of the fabrics and of geometric, vegetal, and zoomorphic patterns, inspired by the cultural heritage, is the leitmotiv distinguishing the ALDECO INTERIOR FABRICS line, specialized in Portuguese textiles, which, inside the PRIMA LINEA booth, also offer certified and refined technological outdoor, marine, and high-quality hotel textiles.
Tomorrow (Monday) at 10:00, inside the space named FOCUS ON, Enrico Colle, director of the Stibbert Museum, will talk about “Textile furnishings at the Stibbert Museum”.
A Special Guest will be architect and designer Simone Micheli, teaching at Poli.Design and Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan and being a visiting professor in numerous academies, who will give a lecture at 11:00 on “Designing the Future. Enhancing Spaces, from Retail to the Residential Dimension”.
