Lorenzo Becattini to Present the Book ‘Dante scopre l’Europa’ – Villa Vittoria’s Garden, Today, at 18:00

Florence, 29^th June 2022. Promoted and organised by the managers of Estate in Villa (Summer at the Villa) in co-operation with Firenze Fiera and Fondazione Nuova Antologia, Villa Vittoria’s cultural programme successfully continues. The festival opened on Wednesday, 18^th May, and will continue until 30^th September with an rich calendar of events and the participation of illustrious personalities from the culture, art, and economy world.

This afternoon, at 18,00, inside Villa Vittoria’s Garden, Lorenzo Becattini, President of Firenze Fiera, will present the book ‘Dante scopre l’Europa’ (Dante Discovers Europe) featuring a preface by David Sassoli, and created by Firenze Fiera to celebrate the 700^th anniversary of the Divine Poet’s death.

Among the many topics discussed, Dante’s numerology according to Guénon, the presentation of a text about Dante written in Crimea in 1933, and foreign policy in the early 14^th century.

This book, whose scientific part was curated by Dantist Paola Allegretti, relies on a precious editorial layout and is a ‘unicuum’ in Dantesque publications both for its priceless colour photographs and for the originality of the topic addressed – the complex and fascinating European geography inside the Divine Comedy.
