Florence, June 30th, 2025. The cultural project Reuse Italy returns with the 5th edition of “Reuse the Ruin – Summer Architecture Workshop”, which will take place at Palazzo degli Affari from July 18th to 26th.

Thanks to the support of Fondazione Architetti Firenze and the Municipality of Fiesole, the workshop offers a comprehensive experience in the field of architectural heritage restoration, combining theoretical studies with practical application. The program is aimed at students and graduates in the fields of architecture, interior design, design, landscape and art. The central theme of the architectural project will be the reconstruction of the Roman Theatre of Fiesole, including an on-site visit and a final public exhibition.

The lectures – delivered by internationally renowned architects and university professors – will cover topics ranging from the principles of restoration to the relationship between ruins and new construction, as well as traditional building techniques and historical-critical analysis.
The workshop will involve hands-on work on a significant restoration project, demonstrating that the reuse of architectural heritage is not only possible but essential.

The teaching staff includes internationally recognized architectural firms and academics such as: Garces De Seta Bonet, Bak Gordon, Zamboni Associati, AMAA, CN10 Architetti, Studio Wok, and Prof. Maurizio De Vita, Full Professor of Architectural Restoration at the University of Florence.
