Florence, February 19th, 2025. The long-awaited “tourismA”, the Archaeology and Cultural Tourism Fair, organized by Archeologia Viva, Italian magazine dedicated to archaeological information published by Giunti Editore, will be hosted as usual at Palazzo dei Congressi in Florence from 21st to 23rd February 2025. The fair (11th edition) is the most important event for the outreach and promotion of historical and archaeological heritage at the European level.

Over 350 experts and communicators will participate in a rich program of conferences and other initiatives. Notable speakers include Massimo Osanna, head of the General Directorate of Museums at the Ministry of Culture, Mario Tozzi, host of Rai “Sapiens,” author and presenter Cristoforo Gorno, historian Aldo Schiavone, Angelo Panebianco and Vittorio Sgarbi, with the grand finale of the event led by Alberto Angela.

An exclusive preview for this year is the opportunity to visit the tomb of Nefertari, one of the greatest expressions of Egyptian art. Closed for a long time in Egypt to preserve its conservation, the tomb – in one of its most beautiful chambers – has been reconstructed life-sized for the first time for tourismA 2025. A “sensory” journey into the ancient world will also allow visitors to experience scents inspired by the Egyptian queen. Thanks to a collaboration with the artistic perfume project Meo Fusciuni, a special fragrance has been created to revive the ancient perfumes of the land of the pharaohs.

The event will be a key opportunity for engagement and dissemination of information, targeting an audience interested in culture and travel, as well as all cultural and economic entities active in the sector. Throughout the three days, participants will have access to the latest research, studies, innovations and discoveries benefiting our cultural heritage.

The guest region for this edition is Valle d’Aosta, which this year celebrates the 2050th anniversary of the founding of Augusta Praetoria, the ancient Roman city where today Aosta is located. This milestone will be commemorated with a conference dedicated to the region’s historical heritage, as well as folkloric performances.

The complete program of conferences, educational workshops, exhibitions, tastings and film screenings is available on the website of tourismA – Archaeology and Cultural Tourism Fair. The event is open to the public with free admission.
