Registration now open for the training events at DIDACTA ITALIA – Abruzzo Edition
Florence/Lanciano, 7 July 2026. Registration is now open for the events included in the Scientific Programme of DIDACTA ITALIA – Abruzzo Edition, the spin-off of the national event, which will take place from 21 to 23 October at the Lanciano Fiera Exhibition Centre (Chieti, Italy). With its Abruzzo edition, Didacta Italia—the leading event dedicated to educational innovation and teacher training—reaches its fourteenth edition.
Covering an exhibition area of 15,000 square metres across six pavilions, the venue will host a rich programme of events. Four rooms dedicated to immersive workshops will be set up in the Ovidio and Silone Pavilions, together with two seminar rooms in the Silone Pavilion and a Main Hall, named after Gabriele D’Annunzio, where the opening ceremony will be held.
The Scientific Programme, developed in partnership with INDIRE and coordinated by Professor Giovanni Biondi, offers a wide range of training activities for teachers and school leaders at all educational levels, early childhood education professionals (0–6 years), administrative staff and local government representatives.
A total of 90 training events are scheduled, including 52 workshops and 38 seminars, selected from more than 200 proposals. This reflects the rigorous evaluation process and Didacta Italia’s commitment to delivering high-quality professional development opportunities.
Among the key themes of the Abruzzo edition is Artificial Intelligence, which is currently at the forefront of educational debate. Numerous sessions will explore the opportunities offered by AI and promote its informed, effective and responsible use in teaching and learning. The programme will also focus on innovative teaching methodologies and the transformation of learning environments, with topics ranging from early childhood education (0–6 years) to Higher Technological Institutes (ITS Academies), providing a comprehensive overview of the major challenges facing education today.
Special attention will also be devoted to the topic of small schools, which, in light of Italy’s demographic changes, are expected to become an increasingly significant part of the education system. Dedicated sessions will provide opportunities to discuss new organisational and teaching models while highlighting the role of technology in overcoming geographical challenges and ensuring equal educational opportunities.
The Main Hall will also host a rich programme of conferences and keynote events covering topics such as school leadership, innovation in school administration through an event specifically designed for administrative staff, and discussions on the future of education aimed at local government representatives.
Participants attending the Scientific Programme will receive official professional development certificates. The programme represents only one part of the overall offering of DIDACTA ITALIA – Abruzzo Edition. The exhibition will also feature a large exhibition area hosting leading national and international companies, which will present products, services and dedicated initiatives. Alongside them, the Regional School Offices of Abruzzo, Molise, Marche and Puglia, universities, INDIRE, and all participating institutions will organise training events, presentations, projects and showcase educational experiences developed with and for schools.
To register and participate in the training events, visitors should consult the Scientific Programme available on the DIDACTA ITALIA – Abruzzo Edition website, select the sessions of interest and complete the registration process by purchasing an admission ticket directly through the online platform.
Admission tickets can also be purchased using the Italian Teacher’s Card (Carta del Docente).
Ticket prices are €16, €25 and €30, depending on the number of days selected (from one to three days). Participants may book a maximum of two training events per day, choosing between two seminars, two workshops, or one seminar and one workshop, while enjoying unlimited access to the events organised by participating institutions and exhibiting companies.
