Didacta Italia 2026: registrations for the training events are now open
Florence, 27 January 2026. Registrations are now open for the training events of Didacta Italia 2026, which will take place at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence from 11 to 13 March. The fair—Italy’s most important annual event dedicated to education and teaching innovation—will devote its 13th edition to Carlo Collodi (the pen name of Carlo Lorenzini) on the 200th anniversary of his birth, which took place in Florence on 24 November 1826. He is the author of the famous novel The Adventures of Pinocchio, one of the great classics of world literature, published in 1883 and translated into 240 languages.
The scientific programme, developed by INDIRE and coordinated by Professor Giovanni Biondi, is even richer and more wide-ranging this year, featuring 506 training events: 313 seminars and 193 workshops aimed at teachers, education professionals, school leaders and, for the first time, also administrative staff and local authority administrators. The training pathways range from early childhood education (0–6) to post-diploma courses and address numerous topics, including innovative teaching methodologies, environmental education—with particular reference to GreenComp in secondary schools—food education through the promotion of Italian cuisine as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, the arts, and innovation in the national and European education systems.
Special attention will be devoted to Artificial Intelligence in the classroom, with the creation of two thematic rooms where participants will be able to experiment with design processes “from prompt to prototype” through hands-on activities, multilingualism, the use of AI for teaching and learning foreign languages, and the customization of an AI-based educational tutor, combining research and experimentation. There will also be immersive classrooms dedicated to blockchain, featuring a new version of the board game, as well as to educational robotics and technological transition. In addition, participants will be able to attend numerous seminars, including those focusing on STEM and STEAM, the organization of the 4+2 education and training pathway, cybersecurity in ITS Academies, adult education, and sport as an educational value in schools.
The Exhibitors’ Programme, curated by the exhibiting companies, is also available online.
Among the new features of the 2026 edition is an area entirely dedicated to innovation in Europe, showcasing European “model” schools that have demonstrated their ability to significantly transform the school system.
As in previous editions, Didacta Italia 2026 will host the Ministry of Education and Merit, which will offer a wide range of proposals within the scientific programme, as well as a large Arena hosting training events where teachers and school leaders can receive specific information about projects and initiatives promoted by the Ministry.
The Ministry of University and Research and the Conference of Italian University Rectors will be present in the Arsenale Pavilion with an intensive programme featuring lecturers and researchers from universities and institutions of Higher Artistic, Musical and Dance Education (AFAM). This year, for the first time, AFAM will have a large dedicated session. The complete programme of events, for which registration will be required, will soon be available on the Didacta website.
Didacta Italia will once again benefit from the participation of the Ministry of Culture and, for the first time, from the presence of the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Sport.
Visitors will also be able to explore a rich exhibition area featuring leading companies from the entire international school supply chain: from stationery and publishing to school architecture and furnishings, from museum education to food education, from environmental and green education to physical education and school sports, from language training to school tourism, music, art and theatre, up to the most advanced technologies.
To take part in the training events, participants must consult the scientific programme and select the events of interest, completing the registration process by purchasing a ticket directly on the portal.
Ticket prices are €16, €25, and €30, depending on the number of days attended (from one to three). A maximum of two training events per day may be booked, which may include: two seminars and two workshops, or one seminar and one workshop, in addition to unlimited participation in events scheduled by institutions and companies.
Didacta Italia is organized by Firenze Fiera in partnership with INDIRE as scientific partner. Partner: Didacta International. The fair offers a programme of the highest level, supported by an organizing committee composed of the Ministry of Education and Merit, Ministry of University and Research, Conference of Italian University Rectors, Tuscany Region, Regional School Office for Tuscany, Municipality of Florence, Unioncamere, Florence Chamber of Commerce, ITKAM, and Fondazione Destination Florence.
