Florence, 17 February 2026. The future of guidance as an educational, generative, and transformative mission for individuals and communities. The role of citizenship education in the age of AI. The enhancement and recognition of digital and transversal skills for the purposes of innovation and the continuous professional development of teachers, educators, and school staff. These are just some of the key topics that will be addressed in round tables, seminars, and workshops promoted and organized by the Ministry of University and Research and the Conference of Italian University Rectors at the 13th edition of Didacta Italia, taking place at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence from 11 to 13 March.

During the three-day event, discussions will also focus on the main Faculty Development models adopted by universities to support the professional growth of academic staff. Particular attention will be devoted to the role of Open Badges as an innovative tool for the recognition and enhancement of skills within the university system, as well as to an in-depth look at Debate and Service Learning, two active teaching strategies that are increasingly widespread in higher education.

The scientific programme for universities and institutions of Higher Artistic, Musical and Choreutic Education (AFAM) is now available online on the Didacta Italia website and can be viewed at:
