Didacta Italia 2026: Tomorrow (Friday) is the last day to visit the most important fair dedicated to the school of the future at the Fortezza da Basso

Florence, March 12, 2026. The 13th edition of Didacta Italia continues until tomorrow (Friday) at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, featuring a packed schedule of events.

At 10:00 a.m., in the Auditorium of Villa Vittoria, the Service Conference of School Principals from Tuscany will take place. The meeting will include remarks by Claudio Barbaro, Undersecretary at the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, and Luciano Tagliaferri, Director General of the Regional School Office for Tuscany, who will present strategic projects including Schools that Promote Health, the Regional Music Plan, and the Arts Plan.

At 2:30 p.m., in the Sala della Volta, a commemorative ceremony will be held in memory of Valeria Fedeli, former Minister of Education, University and Research and Vice President of the Senate, who recently passed away. She was one of the key figures who, in 2017, made it possible for Didacta to arrive in Italy.

At 1:00 p.m. (Seminar Room S17 – Ronda), the conference “Towards an Integrated System of Adult Education and Training” will open. The event is aimed at teachers, school leaders, and experts in the field to reflect on Adult Education (IdA). Starting from the outcomes of the national monitoring of adult education, the conference will open a discussion aimed at encouraging reflection on key elements such as the continuity of educational pathways, the reintegration of adults into education, relationships with local communities and the world of work, as well as teacher training and professional development.

There will also be space for the #socialprof area in the Padiglione Nazioni, where teachers, creators, trainers, and education professionals meet to transform digital storytelling into a concrete and shared experience. From 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the conference “What Is Not Said: Teacher Burnout and Loneliness” will address an urgent but often unspoken topic: the psychological well-being of teachers.

Also not to be missed is the exhibition in the Grotte area, promoted by INDIRE, titled “Carlo Collodi: Between the Pen, Politics and ‘Lies’ That Tell the Truth. Pinocchio and Other Characters as a Mirror of Man and His Time,” dedicated to the complexity of his figure and the continuing relevance of his educational message.

Didacta Italia is organized by Firenze Fiera with the scientific partnership of Didacta International. The fair offers a high-level program supported by an organizing committee composed of the Ministry of Education and Merit, the Ministry of University and Research, the Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities, the Tuscany Region, the Regional School Office for Tuscany, the Municipality of Florence, Unioncamere, the Florence Chamber of Commerce, ITKAM, and the Destination Florence Foundation.
