Didacta Italy 2026: Focus on new activities and projects for the 0-6 age group
Florence, February 6, 2026. The 13th edition of Didacta Italy, taking place at the Fortezza da Basso from March 11 to 13, consolidates and strengthens its role as a national reference platform for educational system innovation and school staff training through new projects and formats designed to respond to the needs and ongoing transformations in the world of education.
Among the main innovations in the scientific program, developed by INDIRE in collaboration with Prof. Giovanni Biondi, activities for educators and teachers of the 0-6 age group are increasing. Two adjacent rooms will be set up in the Cavaniglino area (Room I1): one furnished for outdoor education (also thanks to the collaboration of some exhibitors present at the fair) and the other equipped to host workshop activities.
The offering for educational staff working in nurseries and preschools will be very extensive and diverse. Among the various topics under consideration is “Clown pedagogy: workshop on clown methodologies in education.” New proposals for reorganizing indoor and outdoor spaces will be discussed in the workshop “Open-air educational continuity: rethinking spaces and relationships” and in the one titled “Cultivating communities: plants and relationships in 0-6 educational spaces.” Immersive activities dedicated to scientific education, spatial orientation, and children with special needs are also planned.
Numerous seminars for the 0-6 age group will be held in the rooms of the Palazzina Lorenese, covering topics such as architecture and the design of educational environments, family engagement, language development in this age group, and training activities involving both nursery staff and preschool teachers.
Finally, in the innovation room at Cavedio (Room 18), visitors can follow a particularly interesting innovation experience (which involved the entire school in a continuity process from nursery to preschool) by attending the seminar “Building a 0-6 continuity model with ‘Poor pedagogy’: reorganizing space and time in preschool.”
To participate in the training events, it is necessary to consult the scientific program (https://fieradidacta.indire.it/it/programma-didacta-italia-2026/) and select the events of interest, completing the process by purchasing the ticket directly on the portal.
Didacta Italy 2026 will also offer the public the opportunity to participate in events organized by exhibitors, which will highlight highly topical issues, such as artificial intelligence applied to teaching and, among today’s social challenges, the widespread phenomenon of bullying in classrooms. Unlike the scientific program (which allows participation in a maximum of two events per day), the exhibitor program offers visitors the possibility to register for an unlimited number of events. The full schedule is available at: https://exhibitor.fieradidacta.it/eventi.
Didacta Italy is organized by Firenze Fiera with the scientific partnership of INDIRE. Partner: Didacta International. The fair offers a very high-level program with the support of an organizing committee composed of: Ministry of Education and Merit, Ministry of University and Research, Conference of Italian University Rectors, Tuscany Region, Regional School Office for Tuscany, Municipality of Florence, Unioncamere, Florence Chamber of Commerce, ITKAM, and the Destination Florence Foundation.
